For questions about your studies, the respective module handbooks for each program are usually your first point of contact. There you will find study plans as well as detailed information on individual modules, courses, exam formats, and course content. The current module handbooks are also available here on the department’s website. If you don’t find the answers you’re looking for there, you can contact the academic advisors?responsible for your program, or simply ask us!

To stay up to date, we also recommend subscribing to the mailing lists?(at the very bottom of the page) for your respective degree programs. These are used to send out important information about events, organizational changes, or current updates related to your studies.
Geosurvey
Is there anything at the Department of Geography that really needs to be improved, or that bothers you in your day-to-day academic life? Or, on the contrary, is there something that’s going particularly well and should definitely be kept? That’s exactly what the GeoSurvey is for.
?
Every June, the student association conducts an online survey among all students, asking, among other things, about satisfaction with courses, the organization of the program, and general conditions at the department. We collect and analyze the results, which are then discussed with professors and instructors from the department during a so-called “Thinky” session. The goal is to work together to develop concrete ideas for further improving the quality of the program. In the past, helpful ideas and suggestions from the student body have been implemented time and again.
