Orientation Studies (module studies for study orientation)
Study content:
The Orientation Studies, lasting a maximum of two semesters, offers the opportunity to find out whether a degree programme is the right choice and which subject best suits their interests and strengths. It provides real study experience and encourages the development of subject-specific and cross-disciplinary skills. By choosing modules from the wide range of subjects offered by the University of Augsburg, students can get a feel for everyday student life and compare different subjects. If you are interested, you can even take exams. If you pass these, you can apply for recognition in a later degree programme at the University of Augsburg. The Orientation Studies allows you to try out different subjects without pressure and provides excellent preparation for a future regular degree programme at the University of Augsburg.

Career prospects:
- These module studies serve as a orientation for later bachelor's degree programmes or degree programmes with state examination at the University of Augsburg and are therefore not aimed at a specific professional qualification.
Special features
The Orientation Studies can be started for the first time in the winter semester 2026/2027. Applications are expected to be possible from the middle of May 2026.
An academic degree cannot be obtained with the orientation studies.
