Mathematics (M.Sc.)
Study content:
This study programme builds on a relevant Bachelor's programme and deepens the competences acquired there. The Master's programme consists of the main subject mathematics and exactly one subsidiary subject. Possible subsidiary subjects are economics, computer science, physics, geography and philosophy. The Master's degree establishes that students have in-depth subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to work independently and critically according to modern scientific methods.

Information for applicants who do not yet have a Bachelor's degree at the time of application (before 31 July for the winter semester, before 31 January for the summer semester) but have completed at least 85% of the credit points required for a successful degree:
- It is recommended that all missing examinations are passed by the start of the programme on 01 October?(or 01 April).
- It is recommended that an officially confirmed list of all completed examinations and the registration of the Bachelor's thesis is submitted to the chair after all missing examinations have been completed and the?Bachelor's thesis has been registered.
