Lecture tour in Japan
22.04.2026
At the beginning of April 2026, Professor M?llers undertook a two-week lecture tour to Japan. The stops took him to five law faculties in Kyoto and Tokyo (Kyoto University, Ritsumeikan University, Waseda University, Meiji University, Chuo University).
The trip served to deepen the academic exchange between Japan and Germany in the areas of European law, consumer protection law, artificial intelligence and legal methodology.

In WuB 4/2026, Entscheidungsanmerkungen zum Wirtschafts- und Bankrecht, the note: “Internally managed alternative investment fund capital management companies as market makers” by Professor M?llers and Dr. Christian Kolbe on the BVwerG decision of 2.7.2025 - 8 C 1.24 was recently published. Dr. Kolbe is a former research assistant at the chair of Professor M?llers.

“The ECB and Its Watchers XXVI” on March 25, 2026 once again brought together central bankers, financial market participants and academics to discuss current issues of monetary policy and financial stability.
IMFS managing director and organizer of the conference series, Volker Wieland, opened the conference, followed by ECB President Christine Lagarde who gave the President’s Address.
Debate 1, chaired by Michael Krause (University of Cologne) featured Philip Lane (European Central Bank), James Bullard (Purdue University), and Frank Smets (Bank for International Settlements), who discussed “Monetary Policy Amidst Trade Shock, Rising Debt and Diverse Drivers of Inflation”. (...)
