During the course Advanced Programming in R in the Master’s program in Climate and Environmental Sciences, taught by Dr. Cesar Alvarez, the students developed interesting tools in R, focusing on spatial and environmental data through applications built with R Shiny as a final project.The students started with basic R knowledge to develop their own R applications to democratise data, since sometimes we do not have access to it in an open and friendly way. Through the course, students can learn skills to showcase their projects using digital applications easily and share them in the cloud. These projects demonstrate how data can be transformed into informative and powerful tools.
