Educational Science (B.A.)

Study content:

The programme explores theories of education, learning and socialisation, as well as the historical and social foundations of education and learning. Students are introduced to educational (research) methods and learn to think critically. During their studies, they gain an insight into two of the four related disciplines: philosophy, political science, psychology and sociology. They form their individual profile by choosing a specialisation in ‘Childhood and Youth Education’ or ‘Adult and Continuing Education’, as well as by selecting a supplementary subject – for example, experiential education, intercultural education, health education or psychological assessment and counselling.
