Dorm Room Delicacies

“Dorm Room Delicacies” is a recipe collection published by the International Office of the University of Augsburg. It aims to encourage intercultural exchange and help international students feel at home in Augsburg by cooking familiar dishes from their home countries.

Chicken Karahi

Chicken Karahi is a traditional dish of North Indian and Pakistani cuisine, particularly from the Punjab region. It is a spicy chicken curry that takes its name from the ‘karahi’—a deep, heavy, wok-like pan in which the dish is prepared and often also served.

Fereni (Persian Rice Custard)

Fereni (also spelled Firni, Persian ????) is a traditional and popular Persian dessert. This creamy and sweet pudding, made from milk, rice, and aromatic spices, is part of traditional Iranian cuisine and is especially widespread in many Iranian households as a light and easily digestible sweet dish.
