Do you want to prepare for your studies, make contacts and make friends even before you start your studies? If so, the study preparation course is just the right thing for you!

The study preparation course 2026 will take place from 8 - 9 April 2026 (Wed & Thu).

The course will take place on campus.

The course is taught in German and aimed exclusively at foreign first-year students who will complete their entire studies (with a degree) at the University of Augsburg.

A maximum of 25 first-year students can participate in the course.

• What do I need to bear in mind after arriving in Augsburg?

• How do I create my timetable?

• Which university facilities are important for me, and where can I find them?

• How do I address issues during consultation hours in an appropriate way?

• Where can I meet other students?

• What does the city of Augsburg offer young people?

• What do I need to know about job hunting, financing my studies, and the healthcare system in Germany?

These are typical questions that every new student asks themselves at the beginning of their studies.

To answer these questions, we offer this course in German and English before each semester.

How the study preparation course works:

1. You register for the course after receiving your admission.

2. You work through the presentations on this page individually and carefully.

3. You use the days on site to ask questions, make contacts with other students, build your timetable, and get to know the campus.
