The third Expert Talk of the Faculty of Medicine took place on June 11, 2023.
Prof. Felix Sch?nbrodt (Executive Director of the LMU Open Science Center) explained the background and objectives of the Open Science movement in his lecture and also addressed practical aspects relevant to everyday research.?

The second Expert Talk of the Faculty of Medicine took place on October 18, 2023.
Dr. Jan-Martin Wiarda (business journalist, author, and moderator) delivered a lecture on the current role and significance of science communication within the German research system. In doing so, he addressed both best-practice examples and the obstacles to successful science communication.

UniAGradZ PhD & Postdoc Day
The most recent PhD & Postdoc Day of the University of Augsburg’s Graduate Center took place on July 8, 2024 and offered a diverse program including online short workshops, lectures, a panel discussion, and a get-together for personal exchange. Thematically, the event focused on career strategies, networking, academic publishing, and the influence of social background on academic career paths.

Panel discussion: "Career paths after the doctorate: Perspective from professional practice"
On?Monday, June 2, at 5:30 p.m., Dr. Meike Zwingenberger (Managing Director of the Bavarian American House Foundation gGmbH), Dr. Dirk Blübaum (Head of the State Office for Non-State Museums in Bavaria), and Dr. Michael Kerler (Deputy Head of Politics and Economy,?Augsburger Allgemeine)?discussed?their experiences and career decisions during and after their PhDs, as well as their daily work life, in a panel discussion.
A subsequent?get-together?provided students and doctoral candidates the opportunity to engage in conversation with the speakers.
The event was organized jointly by the?Central Graduate Center, the?Graduate School for Humanities and Social Sciences, and the?Career Service.
