WRDS

WRDS – Wharton Research Data Services is a web-based platform of the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) that provides access to a wide range of financial, economic, and corporate databases. The platform integrates data from numerous databases into a unified interface and allows users to search, link, and store data efficiently.

Access to WRDS

Access to WRDS is available to all staff and students of the University of Augsburg for research and teaching purposes. To obtain access, please follow these steps:

1. First, complete the form available at the following link:
   /de/fakultaet/wiwi/prof/bwl/ullmann/wrds/
   After successfully submitting the form, you will automatically be redirected to the WRDS registration interface. Please use your University of Augsburg email address to register and select the University of Augsburg as the subscriber.
2. You will receive the WRDS terms of use by email. Please read them carefully. Once you have confirmed them, your account can be activated.
3. Your registration request will be reviewed and approved by the WRDS administrators at the University of Augsburg. You will then be contacted by email and receive further information regarding access.

Please note that WRDS uses two-factor authentication. This can be completed via the DUO smartphone app, a text message, or a voice call with a code announcement to a landline phone. Further information will be provided during the registration process or at login.

Data Protection

Please note: Your personal data (first name, last name, email address) will be stored for two years in order to investigate any violations of the terms of use. Other user data will be stored for as long as you are enrolled at or employed by the University of Augsburg.
