6th Network Meeting of Environmental History
Environmental history at the University of Augsburg encompasses the study of human-environment relationships from antiquity to the present day. It has both regional and global dimensions. The range of topics extends from the study of wetlands to changing dietary habits in the context of climate change. The Environmental History Network meets regularly at the IEK. Anyone interested is warmly invited to attend. On Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m., the 6th Environmental History Network Meeting will take place in Seminar Room 212 of the Old University (Building F1, Eichleitnerstr. 30). As part of this event, the Wetlands Working Group "Thinking with Wetlands. Histories from the Quaking Zone, 1630-1997": S. Müller, U. Niggemann, J. Osterkamp, L. Schilling, J. Soentgen?will present its work.
Umweltgeschichte an der Universit?t Augsburg umfasst die Erforschung von Mensch-Umweltbeziehungen von der Antike bis zur Gegenwart. Sie ist regional wie auch global verankert. Das Themenspektrum reicht von der Erforschung von Feuchtgebieten bis zu sich wandelnden Essgewohnheiten im Zuge des Klimawandels. Das Netzwerk Umweltgeschichte trifft sich regelm??ig am IEK.
