Upcoming: CAAPS event on Demystifying Numerical Dissipation in Simulation Codes
On the 2nd and 3rd of December, we will be hosting the
CAAPS?workshop Demystifying Numerical Dissipation in Simulation Codes?at the University of Augsburg (building I2, room 1309). We will discuss and work on the nature of numerical dissipation and how to quantify it for different numerical methods and physical setups.
Our external speakers are Martin Obergaulinger from the University of Valencia and Philippe Bourdin from the University of Graz. From our HPSC group, Simon Candelaresi will be speaking. Apart from talks, we will have plenty of time for discussions and hands-on activities.
