Description:
GroundWork brings together farmers, scientists, and communities to regenerate soils and promote sustainable agriculture. Using innovative grazing practices adapted to each region, it should help in restoring degraded soils, reducing pollution, and combating climate change. GroundWork is funded in the EU Living Lab framework via the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ (Mission SOIL). It consists of five Living Labs in Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Serbia, and Germany. The Water and Soil Resource Research Group in Augsburg is primarily involved in activities to monitor soil changes in the Living Lab in southern Germany.
