Ioana Bouvier is a research scientist and project leader for Foresight - Foresighting Resilient Adaptation and Land Use Change in a Changing Climate project - with the Chair of?Climate Resilience of Human-made Ecosystems. Her research interests include land use change and ecosystems services, climate resilience and adaptation pathways, and modeling land and food systems in the context of climate variability. Ioana has over 15 years of experience in applying spatial analysis and modeling for sustainable development, food security, and ecosystem monitoring, with project management and field experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean region. Ioana obtained a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences from the University of Bucharest, Romania; a master’s degree in Geoinformation Sciences for Development and Environment from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA; and a doctoral degree in Earth Systems and Geoinformation Sciences from George Mason University, Virginia, USA.
